About Us

We Help People In Need Around East Africa

“Furaika,” meaning joyful in Swahili, reflects the foundation’s mission to bring joy into communities through sustainable aid and development projects.

Furaika Foundation, founded by Susan Ngresso McDarby, aims to bring joy to communities in East Africa. The non-profit organization provides sustainable solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges, focusing on empowering young girls and boys. They seek volunteers, donations, and offer scholarships to make a difference in the lives of children. The foundation’s small efforts make a big impact, supporting community projects and education initiatives. Susan, originally from Kenya and now living in Ireland, initiated the foundation to fund community projects in East Africa.
